Hi HRCG I am naturally a strawberry blonde. My hair is turning a beige shade which looks like I have streaked my hair….
That photo was 3 yrs ago AFTER I had colored my hair. I haven’t done it again. I want to but alot of people say they like my hair as it is. (Saves money too!)
I want to get my hair cut & styled but am afraid i will not like what I see. Mine is supet straight also & does not hold a curl at all.
I have looked thru magazines for hair styles but they all require just as much care as my long hair so that is not a bonus.
    Maybe one day…..
As for ‘Purrince’ Siddhartha I totally believe he is a gift from G-D. I had no idea where I would find a companion cat & then there Siddhartha was!!
Today was his recheck & it went well altho’ I go upset. (Long story…)
I was lost w/out the PC for that week; it is my connection to the world for sure!
Glad to be back online I can tell you πŸ˜‰
    Sending you love & blessings, Sherri-Ellen x0x0

I was lost w/out the laptop HRCG! Seriously! I have worked so hard on the blog & blogging & cultivating friendships it was empty for that week.
I will never take being connected to Internet for granted again πŸ˜‰
I was not thinking I was brave when i first took Siddhartha in….now I KNOW I am! he is a ‘going concern’ & he keeps me busy…however he is the BEST medicine for me at this point.
This morning he snuggled around my head & kissed me to wake me up to ask for breakfast….I smothered him in kisses….lol…
    He is amazing!
Minnie Mouse knew her own mind didn’t she? It is funny the things cats do that imprint on our hearts. (Other 4 leggeds do things but I find cats special).
I can remember ALL the special things ALL my previous cats have done…
Each had their own ‘things’. Each a blessing. I was going thru photo albums today & shed some tears…so many sweet furbabies… they all live in my heart as all of yours do I am sure!
    Sending you {{{{HUGS}}}} and love, Sherri-Ellen x0x0

I truly understand the loss of our connection to the outside world via the computer…living where I do it is often how I shop, and blogging is wonderful in connecting with people…I also depend on my puter to handle all our bookkeeping, personal and business…and all my photography is on my puter….so yah I hear ya on being at a loss…I worried about you as I know you enough to know that the lappytop is a life line:)
Changing the subject while I think of it…do you also have red hair? It looks like you do in your gravitor…I do and it has always been brighter red/strawberry blond. When I was little I so wanted to be blond or brunette, back then redheads were not that popular….and now I would not trade it for the world. I got called carrot top and red and silly names…WB loved red hair so when he saw me he told me later he was taken. I had super long hair all my life from 5th grade on…Mom told me if I learned how to take care of it she would let me grow it out from a pixie cut and I learned overnight! Used to sleep on the huge rollers and Mom saved me soup cans to roll my long hair in. Mine is naturally straight straight hair…the week we lost my Dad after four years of decline, and Mom was diagnosed with kidney failure, I did not tell WB or anyone…but one day after work in town I walked into a salon and said I want it short…and it was…at the time I was in my mid forties…and I felt like I was 85 years old…I was devastated to loose my folks and no one my age was loosing their parents…I felt so old and burdened with responsibility and grief. Thankfully WB was with me and he helped me get through it…so hard to loose those we love whether they are our human family or our four legged babies.
I am yet trying to grow it back out again but…it is taking forever now as it is thinner and not as full. I used to not be able to gather it all into a pony tail as it was so dang thick…my hair is a fine texture but I had tons of it…now my ponytail is pathetic…but so far no gray hairs:) I know that is weird huh? I got sidetracked as I read about Purrrince snuggled around your head and it made me think of your photo that I saw and I thought hey she has red hair too I think…so many similarities we have:)
Siddhartha was designed by God above to come into your life and he was planned by God…just as Minnie was for me.God watches over us with a Father’s heart and He promises us to give us the desires of our hearts…I love that! He knows you and knows your heart and He knew Nylablue was needing to be with Him again and you needed the little Dude and he needed you. Yes they have so much energy but believe me it is worth it as you will have treasured memories forever in your heart as when you get them as tiny kittens or still young like Purrince, it is a deeper bond and not more than you had with Nylablue as you had a deep forever bond with her too but Siddhartha will bring you more life and deeper connections…Minnie and now Ellie gave and gives me the run around like you are having too…babies need more from us as Mums…up until Min was 3-4 every night she prowled the house and I never knew what she would get into and leave for me to find in the morning:) She was so full of kitty antics…I loved it really…and it now brings back sweet memories and chuckles. Oh yes Minnie had her own mind, very much so and yes she was funny in her different ways of loving me…she had so much love to give and also such a tude:) She reminded me of Sinatra’s song My Way…I agree too that cats are special, they seem a deeper part of you..they are magical in many ways and so beautiful:)
Hugggsss and sleep well my friend:)

By a small miracle the laptop was fixed as I was sure it was done. I got it back Thurs. but had to buy a special cooling fan so did not get back online til Friday night.
It was a very l-o-n-g week without it I can tell you πŸ˜‰
Mind you ‘Purrince’ siddhartha kept me busy!

Wow I am so glad that you got it back early! I bet it was a long week! You are brave to take in a kitten and he will have lots of mischief for about three years…that was when Minnie settled down more. She used to get into everything at night…she loved that little figurine and every morning I would find the little girl down on the floor with her hair all messed up…and I would tell Minnie now no no….she eventually could last maybe a few nights and then once again the girl would be on the floor…it was a riot and she always made me laugh! She was always very curious too…did not tell you this but one time when she was in the office with me, she was about 8 years old and she had found a sewing needle with some string still on it….well I noticed she was trying to get something out of her mouth so I looked…we were rushing her to the vet immediately as she had God’s blessing as the needle had lodged itself into the roof of her mouth and the string was hanging out of it…we got her to the vet and they put her under and got the needle out thank God! I was always very careful with needles and such but she had somehow gotten the drawer on the sewing machine open and went for the thread/string to her and ended up with that needle too. From then on I kept all things under lock and key with her…she was still curious this last year but being older she did not venture into new stuff very often. When she was younger she had tons of energy and loved to explore! I learned to think like a cat and in particular Minnie…although I had to do that with Kalamazoo too!

We have anywhere from 5-6 months of snow & Winter here. I have seen photos of the snowballs…they are amazing!
It is nice to know I am not alone about calling b4 showing up. It drives me crazy. I don’t mind Reeni or Ruth or Chris showing up as we have all seen each other in our pj’s & we are like family; but thte rest of the people are NOT ‘like family’ so they need to learn some respect.
I relate to coming home & calling out for Nylalbue b4 I brought Siddhartha in. I am glad there is new life here…I still miss Nylablue but it is because I loved her so much. Love conquers everything; even death!
The Purrince is so entertaining & funny & challenging. He is headstrong I can tell you. It has been 27 yrs since I had a kitten & had forgotten how much mischief they get into. Even after Purrince Siddhartha is scolded we will snuggle & I KNOW he knows he is loved.
G-D & the Angels made sure to send Siddhartha to me & Ellie to you & us to each other for support & friendship. Sometimes I am so awed by G-d’s plans!
    Sending you (((HUGS))) & peace, Sherri-Ellen x0

It would be so weird to see the snow rolling into balls from the wind….you get winter hard with tons of snow…as I read your post this week about 5′ of it already…WOW! I am so glad that you have the Purrince as I know he will help heal your heart and also fill your home with life again, and happiness…I love kittens and yes they can be a bit wild at times but overall I loved the years I had with both Zoo and Minnie when they went through those kitten years. I’m here for you Sherri-Ellen and I appreciate how God arranged for us to meet each other and become friends…and support each other through the deep loss of loosing our girls so close to each other. Sending hugs and prayers…with kitty loves and kitty rubs for that cuttttie pie in the fur:)

I appreciate the snow HRCG!!! πŸ™‚ I love snow (altho 6 months of it does wear on the nerves, lol…)
Thank you for your kind words. I try to be a good & gentle person & sometimes people do not see this in me. (I was just told by a tenant I am selfish & unfriendly for not liking people show up at my apt or patio door unannounced!) *sighs* I thought I was entitled to my own life & some privacy in here but apparently not. Plus I have been told I am being selfish not letting people ‘come in’ to see Siddhartha….I felt like saying if you want to look at a cat; go to the pet store!!! I bit my tongue πŸ˜‰ I am not always gentle, lol.
Oh HRCG I am sorry you are still riding the waves of grief. I can relate to what you wrote. Sometimes I am sure I see Nylablue sitting on the couch or coming out of the bedroom. It is so weird esp with Siddhartha here.
A few days ago a front end loader came into our place to shovel the snow & I called out “Loader, loader Nylablue!” & then realized she was not here. I felt so sad. Siddhartha came out of the bedroo mee-you’ing as if to ask “Why were you calling out Mum; Auntie is not here..” I felt like I could not catch my breath. I sat down & Siddhartha jumped into my lap. If I did not have him I would be sitting in the corner in a trance I am sure.
I am so glad we have each other too. Not that I EVER wanted you to go thru this!! I just can’t quite fathom that Minnie Mouse left 2 days after Nylablue. Maybe she knew we would support each other?? All I know is I look forward to your blogs & personal emails & our chats here!
Sending you gentle (((((HUGS))))) Sherri-Ellen x0x0

I am with you as I love the snow too. When we lived in Wyoming, we had snow squalls from the end of September until June…and the snow would stick beginning in October through early May…some years it was different. I always wanted to see it but so far have not…in Wyoming they have winds and some friends of ours that are Wyoming natives told us about how one winter the wind made snow balls and rolled the snow up in huge balls! Crazy huh? I saw pictures and it did! I loved living in Wyoming! It war incredible and magical at times where we lived as we lived more isolated than here.

I am with you on people showing up without calling first…growing up my Mom always said now you call before you stop to see someone as it is rude to just drop in…yep I agree. I have had that happen many times with family members who just stop in during the dinner hour…so where do I go get the food to feed everyone…hello, 20 miles to town! I stand with ya:)

We are going through it together, the one bright part is that we are sad because we loved them and they loved us, they made a huge impact/difference on our lives both good times and hard times…we loved them and it will take more time for that part of our hearts to heal. The other bright part is that I have gotten to know “you” and have a new friend who I admire and think the world of:) I have come into the house countless times expecting to see Min-Mouse yeowling at me for being gone all day..and a few times I have called out for her expecting her to come…and then I realize that no she is now with God. While I miss her at the same time I am thankful she is no longer in misery and I do believe the CHF was going on longer than we knew…she was so brave and tried so hard. So no I don’t want to wish her back as she is now at peace and full of new good life again playing in God’s glory and fields of heaven with Nylablue.

I do agree that Minnie and Nylablue somehow knew thru God that they would be going together and we would comfort each other…God is good as He arranges cool stuff like that so that Minnie was not alone and neither were we both. I agree too that Siddhartha is heaven sent to comfort you and to give you laughter again. Kittens are so cute, so funny and oh my Minnie kept me laughing so much when she was that age as did Kalamazoo….they were both so much fun:)
Happy New Years! I am wishing, praying that you will have a new year of great Blessing, Happiness, Good Health and Healing, Incredibly Funny Fun Times, Filled With Catnip Too and Great Wealth:) God Bless You Sherri-Ellen:) I luv ya and luv the Purrince too:)
      Hugs and Kitty Luvs,

It is snowing like crazy here; finally Winter has found us πŸ™‚
I enjoyed going out for my Birthday.
We are blessed with Ellie & Siddhartha to help us thru the sad times.
Last nite was hard at midnite & I cried & my ‘little man’ came & snuggled me. I have alot to be grateful for….despite the pain of the loss.

Wowzers you are getting the same storm then as I wished it would also visit you…I read where you did not have snow yet and we all need a little snow every once in a while…I always look forward to it and at the same time hate it when I can’t get out…its a ying and yang thing:) I am so happy that you got out for your birthday as you need to be celebrated…you have so much to give to this world with your gentle heart. And birthdays need to be celebrated:)
I do feel that Minnie talked to Ellie as we have been hooked on to each other the last few weeks in a deeper way…but…my heart misses Min-Mouse so much. I still look for her at times when I forget for a moment..she was my girl. I do have lots of girls as in Melody my horse and now Ellie…I know I am very blessed and so lucky. I found some of Minnie’s meds the other day…tears and more. I told Elie she had to help me be strong…I looked at her syringes and cried…and the almost empty bottles and then I quit as I knew she did not need this anymore as she is 100% well and free of earths pain! She is now in heaven where there is no pain…and she is young again bouncing around like Siddhartha:) Ahhhhh this grief journey we are on is up and down and we just have to ride it out…I am sad you are going through this too but I am thankful we have each other to cry on too as we go through it. I am blessed that God brought you into my life and I am thankful for your friendship:) Huggies!

Hello HRCG it was a bittersweet day yesterday! I did go out with neighbor Chris & we had pecan caramel squares & flavored coffee at the European Cafe. It was lovely. Lots of phone calls & emails also. I was all right all day but by 7 pm I was in tears…silent tears…Siddhartha came & snuggled on my chest patting my face! He KNEW I was sad….his presence helped me so much last nite.
We played b4 bed & that helped to…..
Thank you for being a good friend. I know this is hard for you too. Our girls watching over us…I feel their presence. I am glad you have Ellie there. No 4 legged replaces another 4 legged but they do help us to love again & move beyond the grief!!
