Our Ms. Tucker Girl…

Our Ms. Tucker Girl crossed the rainbow bridge to heaven 9-1-2016…

We worried about her over the summer as she ate lots and kept loosing weight…but she was still our Tucker girl, full of life and heart. And on that early September morning we knew something was very wrong, off to the vet we went…hoping her to be ok.

Instead, we had to make a very hard decision, she was bleeding internally…options were, we could try invasive tests/exams etc…but we knew it was time to let our girl go and our vet agreed. When you love your animals…you know in your gut when its time to help them cross the rainbow bridge…even though it is hard.

SONY DSC

Tucker was one of those heart dogs, anointed by God to immediately land in your heart and be full of love for you…

I loved her deep brown eyes…like golden pools of light from her heart and soul!

Tucker was a camera dog as she loved to pose for you…

Cowboy son Curt, captured a sequence of photos below of Tucker, showing her personality and her heart…and her comments.

I hope you enjoy them as much as we have.

“Sun feels doggie dang good!”

“Huh..uhhh, what are you looking at cowboy?”

“I’m basking in the morning sun and ahhhh, feels so good!”

“I’ll pose for you but don’t bug me too long”

“I feel a yawn coming on”

“And a nap is in order”

“I’m almost asleep!”

“You still here?”

“Hmmmm…”

“Maybe I’ll rest my eyes for a bit”

“Or maybe I’ll keep my eye on you!”

You Will Forever Be In Our Hearts Sweet Tucker Girl…

Our Psyche ward is so overcrowded it is ridiculous. So the Nurses do what they can & then the patients are sent home…I have prayed to G-D & a few others…now the man is ‘passively stalking’ us when I take P SH out for walks or am in the hallway. The man tried to break into a neighbor’s apartment 2 nights in a row & still nothing is done….. I try to walk with someone at all times but that does not always happen so I bring my oak cane along as backup!
Warm & peaceful works for me also…I would love to be on your ranch…wide open spaces & fresh air……mmmmm…… that would be wonderful……

2017 has been one long day & night of ‘crappola’ HRCG! I am so worn out & weary I have no strength to even cry. Sometimes I just lie down with Siddhartha Henry & stare into space. I HAD closure from all my past so when the flashbacks happened during incident @ Bingo I was stunned & terrified. Tried to get thru to counselling but no luck so far…..
He spent 4 days/nights in Psyche Ward & has been out since last Monday. He stayed away from everyone & we had a quiet Bingo night this past Wednesday. Today he was ‘passively stalking’ me. 3 times I took P SH out for a walk & 3 times we had to cut the walk short. Tried a hallway walk & he popped up again! 5th time I had my 250+ lb neighbor with me; that stopped ‘crazy man’ from coming up to me.
Thank you for your prayers; all are gratefully received!
    ❤ LOVE ❤ & {{{hugs}}} Sherri-Ellen x0x0
    P.S. How are YOU doing????

I am sorry and concerned….I can not believe they allowed him to leave the Psyche Ward! Unreal!!! I pray that God will intervene and get things straightened out for you….this is your home and you deserve to feel safe in it! Until they get something done with the individual, ask your neighbor to walk with you and do not walk alone…somehow this will work out and your safety will not be a thing you have to worry over…praying hard and sending you support and hugs! I’m doing ok here…things are busy as usual…would love to go somewhere warm and peaceful. Love n Hugs, Me

Hello HRCG I must make a follow-up appointment….Things went haywire here last Saturday with the ‘resident crazy’ & I was directly affected. Police called; Housing called. I have PTSD for sure…I can barely function; please pray for me….I need strength to carry on. And Siddhartha Henry needs me!!!

Oh my Sherri-Ellen! I am so sorry to hear this…you have gone through so much crapolla this year! You have to keep going and reach out to someplace where you can go to a couple of counseling appointments for help with the PTSD. I know it would help you as they can help with healing! PTSD is tough as often you can get triggered into it but with some help they can teach you how to deal with it and help bring healing and closure. I wish I lived closer! I would feel the same way as well as he sounded very creepy and very crazy! He is in police custody now or? Please keep me posted as I worry about you anyway, now I will worry more as you are like a sister to me:) Sending up some very specific prayers for you and also for Purrince S-H. Stand strong and know that help is on the way as I am gonna pray up a storm for you! Love love you lots gf….sending huge hugs to you!

Hello HRCG it has been so long since we connected. My Laptop is in the ‘shop’ getting fixed once again!! What a ‘bummer’……
I agree about our girls; they KNOW we did the best for them.
I am still looking for a Vet to give P SH his follow-up Rabies shot…..what a palaver this has been!!!
Then there was the Breast Cancer scare….I had a Mammogram & Ultrasound & the FibroAdenoma is still benign but I want Laser Surgery…so need to book new apt w/ Family Doc to discuss my options. And I have my Viral Sinusitis again **sighsss**…Not the best of years so far…..
At least, I am alive & kicking!!!
We send our love & best wishes to all of you there ❤ ❤

It has a long time gf…I am glad to hear that you are advocating for your health and life…I learned to do this when I was taking care of my parents…I had to speak up and ask questions and advocate for their health. This year has not been the best year for me either…but we gotta keep going with a smile…you are a strong woman just like me and I pray hard that God gives you all that you need to get well and be healthy…I worry for you and I care. Even if I am a ding dong with my own life by getting side tracked and not writing…be sure to follow up with the BC scare…stay on it…the only reason, the only reason I am here today is that I stayed vigilant even though I was scared to death, I stood my ground and said I want the best on this…and they caught my cancer early…since I could not feel it, it would have been easy to put off my check ups and mammograms…always is. Sending you hugs and kitty boy loves and prayers and that God will protect you and heal you:)

She gave so much love and sweetness to you in her short time here on Earth. I do think dogs and all God’s creatures are with us as angels and in Heaven. ❤

Oh, so hard to loose them, I agree. I cried for a few dogs in my life. We didn’t get dogs until junior high school. I sure loved the ones we had while I lived with my parents. I only have had two shared with an ex-husband. hugs back

P.S.: I forgot to mention Pyewacket the cat between Mingflower & Silky-Auburn. She was a brown tabby cat reminded me of Simpson my 1st cat. Unfortunately my exhubby let Pyewacket out & she not only came back pregnant she contracted Distemper. I was the only ne who could get near her & so I had to contain her & then transport to SPCA to be euthanized. I never got over what happened. (I had left hubby due to domestic violence & could not Pyewacket so I felt guilty about the outcome of her life…..)
So many cats; so many memories ❤

It is very heard to say “Goodbye” to our beloved 4-leggeds. I think about Nylablue, Mingflower, Silky-Auburn, Muffin, Simpson (cats) all the time. Then there is Bogart Sam & Rebecca & Chiquas Chico (dogs) an Benny Blue Sky & Skippy (budgies).
There were many more; mostly short term rescues & I think of them all too.
I am 95% better & playing ‘catch-up’ with reading blogs & replying to emails.
I hope you come visit our blog! Siddhartha Henry had a very eventful week (!)

We loose so many of our animal angels in our lifetimes…I can’t live without them…so hard to say “Goodbye” but I also know it is the right thing to do as we can not allow our animals to suffer just for us…part of being a kitty mama or a doggie mama or a horse mom…they trust us with their lives to give them the very best of care and love. So glad to hear you are doing better…you were so ill and it was scary to me…I want you well and Purrince SH to be well and happy:)

I agree our 4 leggeds trust us to do what is best for them. I did my best for Nylablue & sometimes I think I kept here longer than I should have. When I looked thru photos of a few months before she became Diabetic I saw how thin her face had become & I realized she hung on for me. I hope she forgives me for keeping her here so long….
I was pretty scared about my health also. Mary-Ellen would take P SH if something bad happened to me. I just did not want to have to surrender. him….
Every time I get sick it takes longer & more energy to recuperate & it worries as me as I am not THAT old! Hopefully I will be all right for the rest of the year……we can hope right HRCG?
        Sending love to all there, Sherri-Ellen ❤ ❤ & Siddhartha Henry =^,.^=

I hope you are feeling much better Sherri-Ellen! I have been so busy with our business and life here that I have not blogged for a while. We have the biz FB page up now and I have one too so that takes time!
I know what you mean about the old photos, Minnie did not look good the last 2-3 weeks of her life…it always makes me cry when I see them as she was so sick …yet tried so hard to not show it. I sure loved her and I do miss her. Her picture remains on my computer screen…and I do believe our girls forgive us for not knowing fully how ill they were…we tried to so hard to help them and I know they knew that. And they knew they were very much loved!
So scary about your health, you have had so much to deal with and it seems your health is rebelling or your body. Sometimes we really do have to take a time out…as in only take care of ourselves period…and I find with aging that a day to myself here and there is not a bad thing…it seems to help me regroup when life is crazy and I am stressed from being too busy. I just say “Whoa” today I am not doing anything but what I feel like…if I want to stare at the wall so be it…this is my time and life as I know it will wait for me to come back…and once I do that I do go back and then usually kick a– as I feel strong again and rested. Be sure to try this as it may help. I have learned that our bodies talk to us a lot and we have to listen to them no matter what…try a day here and there and don’t feel guilty about it either:) I want to see you healthy and feisty again…let your friends help out for a day with P SH…and no you do not have to surrender him unless you find he the reason you are ill…and I don’t think he is as it is more life stress that you are suffering…try to take lots of time to heal and get well….rest and do what the docs tell you. No we are not old at all, but our bodies are a bit more fragile as is our health.
Sending you big hugs and lots of prayers and also sending P SH lots of kitty boy loves and rubs. Love you both!

Thank you much…it is so hard to loose our animal babies. Tucker was our second rescue dog…the breeder knew we were looking to adopt and she called us, she was about 220 miles away. Tucker was 9 months old when we brought her home as her first owner lived in a large city and Tuck did not have room to run around, be a dog. We felt very blessed that Tucker came to live with us…she was always with us and her big heart shone brightly to many others when they visited. Hugs…

So sad to learn of your having to part with Tucker. Such a cute face she had – full of expression and fun. We know how hard it is to say goodbye. She’s in your heart with Minnie and all the others………waiting to greet us one day.

Thank you Pam, Angel Sammy and Teddy. We love our animal babies so much…they are family to us. We were blessed to have Tucker…we rescued her when she was 9 months old. The breeder knew we were looking and Tucker’s first mom and dad lived in a big city where she could not be free to be Tucker. She had such a huge heart for people…when we brought her home, the trip was about 220 miles, she had lost most of her hair as she was nervous and scared…it only took her a day to adjust and she was soooo happy to be with us…and her sweet expressions began to show. Hugs to you and kitty loves to Angel Sammy and Teddy.
