Spring Photography With HRCG!

Spring photography with HRCG is fun! No I have not run away from blogging…just slowed down a bit…running the office for our business keeps my nose to the grindstone except when I run out the door with my camera and happily snap away:)

Ok Ellie…lets go!

We often have crazy spring weather as…

Tucker relaxing, while wondering where that little black tornado Ellie is?

Melody doesn’t care…she is happy to be loosing her winter coat…she loves seeing green stuff:) She truly has a coat of many colors…during winter she is a dark brown bay…in early spring she begins to turn white while her legs, head and tail remain dark…she is striking and so pretty…as she eventually sheds the white and becomes a lighter bay roan with a bit of grulia…and she is all heart:)

Beautiful kitty girl…love you Minnie…she is very fastidious about keeping her stripes in order:)

Love your blog and I understand how hard it is to find time to blog too. Building our new farm in Sequim on 20 acres and selling our current 5 acre farm in Kingston. Saying goodbye to my garden (flowers) is hard to do.

Hi there:) Thank you much for your support and encouragement…as you also know that with animals and land to take care of, this time of year is like a big explosion of work and chores….hubby is spraying some weeds this morning in one pasture and I am off to town for errands. I know about moves and that also keeps you busy busy! I LOVE your new barn!!! We have looked at those too…they are nice! I had an aunt who used to live in Sequim and it was a nice town, she enjoyed it…pretty:) I enjoy your blog too and all your donkeys and animals…praying for an easy move and before your know it you will be settled in!

Hi, thank you so much! Yes moving after 13 years in the same home and now I am 54 just had another b-day is hard. The last 3 1/2 years was so difficult trying to heal after the semi-truck accident. Giving so much stuff to good will feels good, getting cleaned out. We are excited to get to live on our new farm and enjoy the peaceful quite little town of Sequim. Working on my new business too 🙂 Soon we will have 3 mini donkeys, 2 standard, 1 mammoth and 2 horses and we will grow 10 acres of Orchard hay as we have irrigation. GOD is amazing.

Happy Birthday!!! I know what you mean about birthdays and age…this summer I will be 61…huge sigh and ugh! The first time I moved with WB to run a cattle ranch was when I was 38 years old, having lived in this house all my life…we had so much STUFF!!! It was both an awful feeling to leave your growing up home and my parents, and also the task of packing and taking stuff to the rummage…it does feel good once you get through the project. But you are like me as you have so much to look forward to with the move to Sequim:) Things will fall together for you once you get settled…and you do remind me of my Dad, he was injured way back in the 1920’s during his senior year of high school. His right leg bone developed osteomyelitis with staff infection. He spent a year in the hospitals in a body cast and almost died a few times. He had many surgeries to treat the infection on the bone…no penicillin yet in those days. Once he was finally well, he completed his senior year and went to the U of O to earn his bachelors degree and meet my Mom. You never knew he had a handicap, his right leg became stiff from the infection and surgeries…he still roped cows, he rode his horses that he loved and lived the cowboy life running the cattle ranch etc. He was amazing to me and so are you:) You have gone through so much and yet you are a survivor and moving forward!

Thank you so much:) Ellie has grown but thankfully she has stopped and we think she will remain this smaller size…Melody is what they call a Bay Roan…meaning she will turn bay in winter and then sheds off to the more roan look you see now for summer…she is a special one…very much a human horse and she loves attention and being with me:) And thank you too for sharing your life with us and keeping us posted on you and Nylablue:) Lots of hugs and prayers coming your way:)

Everything is gorgeous — as always — but you have the most extraordinary cloud formations. I’ve never seen anything like them!

I have to click on nearly every image! Love the look Tucker is giving, literally saying “where’s Ellie? Is she sneaking up on me again?”
