It seems only a few days ago that I accepted this awesome nomination the end of 2012…and where did the last year go?

Catnipoflife is about the school of life…the life we live and the lives lived around us…times of hard knocks and times of joy…life is good stuff and full of blessings to be thankful for each day. Sharla shares the lives we lead through her gift of poetry and photography.

I love Sharla’s opening words as it echos the life we live in our 100 year old family home on our ranch here in Juniper. Lots of memories and family history that is full of true grit and determination. I am who I am today because of my parents and my grandparents, who I never knew face to face…but I knew them through my parents and their love and respect for the generations that went before them…it gave me a deep faith of God…believing that no matter what we will never give up…we gotta keep on a going.
Everyday that we live, and every word we speak becomes our history…the days of our lives become our heritage…our story and traditions…and why we are here is a piece of the puzzle of our life, our history and our heritage.

I have a couple questions. Following your lead, I’m to do a write-up of you, Who Graciously Nominated Me? Are all the addresses (especially the originator of the Award) correct and to be copied completely as written? You want to keep the Award as for 2013???? Hi there:) Yes all the addresses are correct…if you copy them you will have to add the link to them in your wp new post page. Yes the Award stays as 2013…not unusual to get it later like now…click on the one who created this award and read her suggestions….I think I did that but right off can not remember all that she mentioned. Once you get your blog uploaded, then be sure to let her know that you received the award and how much it means etc. Give her your link to the blog award so she can read your post too and let me know too:) Sharla gave me the award and I read her post thoroughly to be sure I would not miss any directions. With all awards that we are given, the award is given to honor our creative hearts…our peers appreciate our blog and or our photos or both…it is an honor:) Enjoy:) And keep blogging:)

If you get stuck or have more questions I’m here so ask away:) I am like you, I ask questions:) I like to know for sure what I am doing….I have ridden horses all my life and if someone is showing me a new technique, I ask questions…no matter how long I am here I know I sure don’t know everything LOL:)

I always look for your blog to see what Sammy has been up to…I enjoy reading about Sammy of course but also seeing glimpses of life a zillion miles away…I know you are much closer but it seems a long ways. And Sammy is so cute:) Minnie will be 19 years old in May…wow huh? She is doing good! We have clear blue skies today but its cold out….we actually need moisture, either snow or rain for the crops…thanks much and sending a big hug to you and a kitty love for Sammy:)

Thank you much:) I truly enjoy your blog….I have not fished for a while but growing up that was a nightly occurrence for something to do at cow camp for me…we had lots of trout and occasional salmon that would get trapped under a bridge, same place at cow camp….I remember laying on the bridge looking at them through the cracks….they were amazing.

Thank you much:) Yes the yard is the only things green here in summer…and it is a country designed one too with uneven ground, various holes from dogs trying to reach that critter under it etc. etc. But, its truly home too:)
