A group of us went to watch the fireworks at West Palm Beach. They were done to patriotic music. Really well done. Early this morning, my son and I went ocean fishing. The boat has sat for a few weeks so here were are 25 miles from shore and we unroll the bimini top to expose a nest of wasp! Then the fuel line started leaking and I twisted my knee trying to escape more angry wasp. We caught no fish and feared we would blow up from gas fumes any minute. But you know what? We still had fun! How was your 4th?

We had a good 4th….quiet as in country quiet which was nice for us to not have employees around for a day…we managed to get the new well water hooked up to the house and I went from 20 lbs. of water pressure to 80 lbs. of water pressure….it is heavenly:) We replaced all the old pipe in the house a few years ago so it went well! Love your boat story:) Makes me smile and chuckle as we have many boating memories too and it never failed when we went out that some silly thing happened…but wasps do not sound like fun geez…but the memory of spending the day with your son and making good memoreis out of the the unexpected is what it is all about:) One of my best boating memories was when we bought a new boat and we took it down to the Columbia River which is just over the hill from our home…my hubby grew up boating and I had not grown up with boats…hubby was trying to make it a good first outing so after he got the boat unload he told me that he would go park the trailer and for me to stand on the dock holding the rope to keep the boat at the dock…just as he pulled away the rope I had hold of snapped and broke!!! My husband saw it happen in his mirror and was laughing his head off at me as I had a look of terror on my face of now what??? It of course all turned out well and we did make lots of great memoreis. My husband grew up on the edge of the Owyhee desert and the man made Owyhee Reservoir is incredible to boat on…it is very isolated and one of Oregon’s best kept secrets….over 52 miles long that you can boat and incredibly huge….beautiful rocks and country to see…if you ever get the chance to go see it or boat on it do take the time….you will love it! Sorry to be a bit wordy today:)
