Ominous clouds of doom…hmmm?
Very unusual clouds for us here in Eastern Oregon.
I noted the right cloud was getting larger at the top…while the left one was sort of morphing into something else?
I zoomed in on the right cloud, it was huge…we did not have a storm here but something unusual was going on in the heavens above! This odd cloud formation, reminded me of Close Encounters Of The Third Kind!
Its 90 degrees here right now…crazy hot for this time of year!
HRCG and Ellie are over and out for now…but we’ll be back:)
Happy Weekend!!!
Aug 17, 2015 @ 10:17:52
Hey there HRCG!!! Well things WERE going well until Friday (Aug. 14th) when Siddhartha Henry door dashed & ran down hallway. I had to throw cane, purse, keys down & kick shoes off & go after him. It was not pretty. I got him back in apartment & went to Temple. When I returned 2 hrs later he tried to run out again & then started his high pitched Burmese screaming at me; so he spent an hour closed in bathroom. I cried myself to sleep. It was like someone flipped a switch!
Yesterday (Sunday) I was able to go buy Calming Treats:
http://www.headtotaildaily.com/product/calming-cat/
Gave him 1 & he was happy out in his Condo after supper.
So my new plan is to rub Bach’s into his ears in the morning when he shows stress or restlessness. Then around 4-5 pm give him a Calming Treat & that should carry him thru til bedtime.
Please say a prayer for us!
I am glad it is cooler there. We are having a heat wave here so the only time to be outside is after 5 pm.
Hopefully it will ease off by Wednesday (sooner if it wants, lol,…)
Love }}} Sherri-Ellen & Siddhartha Henry x0x0x0

Oh my GOSH! I would have done just like you…our black kitty Zoo would often make a break away out here and I would go after him like that…it is scary when they do that to you!!! I am so glad that you caught him and got him back home! And I am also glad to hear that you have something that helps and works for his nerves and kitty boy attitude! And it sounds like it is working:) Sending you lots of hugs and gentle kitty boy rubs and scratches…love you both lots:)

Hey there back GF!!! Thank you for supporting me! I was so upset that Siddhartha Henry would not calm down!! He was SO hyper I would end up in bathroom crying with frustration! It has ben almost a week since I started him on the Bach’s & it is a G-D send to me! He calms right down & is so much better in general. he plays & is normal; but no more hollering & shredding things & knocking things over & generally freaking out…..
I am feeling a bit better each day. I have refocused myself & that has helped.
I am working thru my issues one by one….
I am so glad we are friends!

I am so relieved that things are going better! We have both had a tough year and I am blessed to call you my friend:) I’m sorry to be long in emailing you an also for not blogging but this summer’s weather and all that goes with it makes much more work and of course worry here too for fires…so far we have been lucky, no big storms here with lightening except today with the winds and dust and now dust with smoke…tonight it is cooler, we are at 65 degrees right now and the wind here is blowing about 20 to 25 mph. Praying for your night that you and Sid sleep well and that the weekend is peaceful:) Big Hugs:) Love You and also Siddhartha:)

I agree the Optician should be fined but I have no idea who to contact. This place is small enough that ‘word of mouth’ works quite well. He will lose business that way…
Here is the link to Bach’s:
http://www.bachrescueremedypet.com/
This remedy has helped somewhat. Mind you only 2 days so far!!
Burmese are a handful at the best of times. Plus Siddhartha Henry is part feral so he is naturally a bit ‘wild’. That is why I decided to use Bach’s. it is herbal so it will not hurt him! I spoke with Mary-Ellen & she says if I want to harness train him she will pay for a proper harness…I might have to do that but I would have to be with him all the time…..
I really bit off more than I can chew….but I adore Siddhartha Henry…..
So I will continue to work with him & see if we can get him thru childhood/teen years without going mental myself…..
Thanks for the prayers & (((HUGS))) I truly need them 😉
((hugs)) back, Sherri-Ellen

Hey there gf…my heart is with you. I know how hard it would be to loose another kitty angel…and I know how hard you are trying to make it work. If kitty boy is too hard to handle…it is ok to let him go back to Mary-Ellen…you have gone through so much this last year…and you my dear friend have to take care of you:) It is ok…sending big huge hugs and big prayers…hang in there ok…love you lots:) And you are a good kitty mommy and so sweet to all kitty angels:)

Has been hot, humid & dry here! Supposed to break tonite…..it has felt like 100 F here & I have hardly been outside! I do not breathe well in extreme heat (cold too, but prefer cold, lol…)
I agree we should know what we c=are paying for. Trouble was my ex-Optician was billing me for something that was covered & lying thru’ his teeth!
Tomorrow I am going to buy Bach’s Rescue Remedy & start Siddhartha henry on it. He is still acting all ‘crazypants’ at nite & VERY restless. He has run away t neighbors patio’s a lot & I almost thought I lost him Monday nite for good! My nerves are shredded & I have had a meltdown. I spoke to original owner & she is going to assist me with him & any costs for meds etc.
Please kiss Ellie Belle & Melody for me & here’s a (((HUG))) for you!

I am glad we do not have the humidity but right now it is 104 and still climbing…too hot to be out so Ellie and I are sitting on the sofa, Bill is resting a bit before going back to work and the blessed air conditioner is on:) That dr. should be fined and should not be practicing as that is awful what he did to you! I have never heard of Bach’s Rescue Remedy? I am so sorry that Mr. crazypants is causing you pain and also being so naughty. I remember when Ellie was about 3 to 4 months old she began to act goofy too…what ended up being her issue was that she needed more activity and exercise….so I took her for a walk and when we got back home, we walked about 45 minutes, she was relaxed, calm and tired. I know cats are not suppose to be quite like that but I am wondering if that is part of it with stinky pants? Let me know dear friend who things go as I worry about you and know how much Siddhartha means to you….sending hugs and prayers right away:)

I hope you finally got some well needed rain there?!!
I can read REALLY small print now. The new glasses are great. No one has actually noticed I have changed frames which is fine by me. I love the burgundy wire frames. They are sturdy & lite weight.
I was so surprised to find out the Progressive Lens were always covered & I was being ripped off! Seriously?
I got a refund for the mouth guard I bought but it did not work for me! The company is in Chicago, Illinois.I sent an email to the woman who contacted me to thank her. They usually just send a new mouthguard not a refund! That was so lovely!
Then I got the refund from Zodiac (for the flea collar that made Siddhartha almost have seizures) but they made it out to ‘Shellyellen’ & my last name was also wrong.
I have had to call twice & I finally got a nice young lady who said it was a complete error on their part & a new refund cheque will be sent out next week. So I am lucky to have been able to get both refunds as they total $30. & for me that is a lot of $$.
LOL @ “Purrince of Cool”…that is my Siddhartha Henry!!!!
How is Ellie Belle & Melody? give them ((hugs)) & *kisses* from me.

So far no rains yet….long range forecast does not say much about rains either but we are hoping and praying:) I am glad you got some refunds and that is bad that they did not tell you about the progressive lens…I got a burgundy frames too:) I think anytime we spend money on anything, it should be covered if it breaks or is not what we thought we were getting…$30 dollars is a lot to me too. Ellie Belle and Melody are doing well…the heat broke a bit thelast few days but today we are to be up to 102 and tomorrow 105…..huge ugh! Sending hugs and prayers and kitty loves for that kittyboy of yours:)

I am glad you have the underground sprinklers there!!! I am sure the horses are happy too!!!
Finally FozzieMum got snow on the mountain tops & they had rain in the lowlands…about time I can tell you! Now if you get some rain I will be so relieved.
I finally got my new glasses. The old frames work fine & the lenses are FAB! I have had Progressive Lenses as my Ex paid for them 3 times over the past 19 years. It turns out they were covered all the time…so I was being ripped off 😦
The Purrince of Cool sends his ~~head rubss~~ an **paw kissess** to you an Ellei Belle….Funny how things have worked out for both of us. I eas not even thinking of adopting so soon…G-D knew I needed someone to care for so my grief would be eased!!!

This drought sounds scary HRCG! I am glad you DO have enough water to keep the grounds & Melody’s pasture moist. Fire would be the worst thing!
It is just starting to warm up here which is odd. The entire planet is a mess! I was speaking to Bev Green (FozzieMum) in Australia the other night & they are in Winter & have had no snow on the mountains & very little rain yet it is just around 32 F.
I got my script & authorization form back from Vision Care & went to Wal-Mart Optician. I decided to use the previous burgundy frames & the man said I could have Progressive Lens & it only cost me $7. I have to wait 10-14 days but I am coping with the burgundy & gold glasses & no more headaches!
The Purrince of Cool sends his *purrss* an ~~head rubss~~ to you an Ellie an Melody!!!
Happy 4th of JULY also…

It is scary times here right now…we are so dry and all that wants to grow are weeds….grrrrr I am after them early tomorrow and will mow our yard. What saves our yards is underground sprinklers that come off our well…same with the pastures for the horses….so we are lucky with that. And I water all my flowers in the pots etc. Fire is scary this year as there is so much undergrowth everywhere…our winters have been light and no hard freezes enough to kill off the bugs and weeds…and without snow we have no run off or water for all.I agree the planet is truly a mess and we are all suffering! That is weird they do not have snow yet (Fozzie Mum) with 32 degrees.
You will love your new glasses with the progressive lens:) I have them and I love them:) So glad for you and can’t wait to hear about them and how much you will love them:) Tell that Purrince of Keewlll that he is once cool cat:) Reminds me of Shaft, he is one purrrince of Sherri-Ellen’s heart and mine too:) Mine too gf as I know the empty place and now God has filled that place with both Purrince of Cool and Ellie Belle:)

Good grief me sitting in the bathroom for 1/2 hour with Siddhartha henry was not as scary as the lightning & dust storms there! I am worried about your part of the country. I did not think you got such bad droughts. I have been in a tornado so know what to look for in the sky….
I am hoping WB is resting well & feeling much better. As for my sight issues; still using the old glasses. At least I can see out of them properly. Siddhartha posted a blog this past Saturday about “The Grate Glassess Deebaucle of 2015”.
I took the ‘new’ glasses back & got my script & authorization. Will be going to Wal-Mart Optician Thursday & see if he can get glasses done for me that are covered under my Pension .I am totally frustrated but at least no raging headaches!
Sending you cool thoughts & prayers for rain….

It has been scary here the last couple of years…I take lots of sky and cloud pictures as they are so unusual to see, many I have never seen before. Our drought is very bad here…I have not seen it this dry here. Usual summers were a sorta kind of hot July and the end of July into August would be HOT with 100 plus temps that would end with a big thunder storm and then we cooled down again. The last couple years it is just hot in the summers, no rains in the falls when most farmers plant their fields an then no snow in the winters…and again spring does not have the rains we need. This year it got hot sooo early, basically in May and has remained hot since…no little storms or rains…that is what killed the wheat this year. Heads are crimped and there is nothing there. Having crop insurance is an expense when you farm as you purchase it each year just in case…this year many will be glad that they have it. My heart goes out to all who farm as it is a huge step of faith each year with the odds. We are keeping everything watered up around the house and Melody’s pasture in case there is a fire. I am so sorry you are having sight issues…I have begun to get cataracts so has fouled up my vision…holding off as long as I can:) But it is a huge pain! I am guessing but your vision must have changed and you had to wait on getting the new prescription with your Pension? A huge pain….hassle too! I am glad the headaches have decreased…give the Purrrince of Cool kitty boy loves for me an also know I am hugging you in my heart and sending prayers:) I am looking at a full moon right now and it is beautiful:)

I only have the one blog>it feels like 2 HRCG!!! I am having some sight issues (nothing serious) but it is slowing me down reading blogs & doing long replies.
It will get sorted soon.
I am so so sorry WB sprained his ankle!!! OUCH!!! I hope he gets lots of rest & does as he is told 😉 It’s always something; isn’t it????
110 degrees!!!!!!!!!!! That is unthinkable to us here. If we get to 95 F we are sweltering & unable to function. I will pray there are no fires; that is scary. I did not think your part of the world got so hot! We are BELOW seasonal here; in fact it is still cold enough at night to put the heat on!!!!!! BBBRRR…..
If you give me 20 degrees we should both have perfect temps! HAHAHA…
We had a wild series of Thunderstorms Monday night. Did not lose power but the sky DID turn green…..I was ready to take cover in bathroom with the ‘littul Purrince’. thankfully the sky changed within 5 minutes so we missed te tornado that touch down in Goderich! It has been an odd Spring & Summer so far I wet, wet, wet>>I should also send rain, lol….
Kiss Ellie & Melody for me. Siddhartha Henry sends his ‘mee-mee-youss’ to all of you & I send {{{hugs}}} an love, Sherri-Ellen ❤ ❤

Howdy Hi GF and Purrrince:) Today we hit 110 degrees and right now at 8:30 at night it is yet 84 degrees. Scary times here, with the low humidity and the heat with dry drought conditions, things can go up in flames very easy. We had only a few strikes of lightening late this afternoon, Ellie and I were feeding Melody at the time and I saw the lightening strike a few miles from here….not sure where yet or how far….I saw smoke and then we had a dust storm without wind….very creepy! The electricity in the air was causing the dust not the wind….have seen it only one other time here and it was a scary storm. As the dust began to settle down I could see the smoke getting darker and moving this way….I have photos but have not loaded them yet. The fire is out but, we have thunder storms off and on all night. I am glad we do not have tornadoes…at least so far. I can only imagine running for real cover from the possibility and knowing it is coming but not sure where it will land….how scary it has to be for you to take cover with the Purrince in the bathroom. So far we and all our furry family members are surviving ok….WB is doing better today as he has stayed in the house with the ankle up on ice:) I know how you feel with the sight issues…so frustrating and annoying. I hope all is well with your eyes:) Thinking of you and wishing you a peaceful and joyous weekend:) Love you…sendnng hugs and of course kitty boy loves and fur hugs:) Love, Marcy

Weekends are FAB but not long enough. I did get Siddhartha Henry’s 2 blogs done but I have 42 blogs to visit & there are multiple posts….I have visited maybe 20 so far. Trying to get thru comments also. Then I have to do our Sunday Selfie visits…..we follow about 12 extra blogs on Sundays 🙂

Wowzers….you are busy and keeping up two blogs is thumbs up too:) I wish I had more time as I love meeting new blog friends and connecting with everyone:) WB sprained his ankle and today we went to the ER to get it checked out…luckily no breaks but a bad sprain. We are headed into a hot heat wave beginning by Thursday, today was already hot. We are to hit 110 degrees by the weekend….big yikes! They say we are likely setting records and of course with the hot temps we are under a fire watch as the land around us is so dry. Very odd weather for us. Next week is to remain 105 plus each day leading into July…not good. Sending you hugs and Siddhartha Henry lots of purrrsss and kitty loves:)
