Camera Times With HRCG!

Camera times with  HRCG can be both a bit country girl crazy, rather adventurous and never a dull moment fun!

DSC01348

I looked out my window on a winter’s day to see incredible light and the sky a blaze in varied colors…I grabbed my camera and out the door I went.

DSC01346

Capturing the sky colors with the surreal light above…with a happy smile of delight on my face.

DSC01361

As I caught the reflection from above in the puddle at my feet:)

DSC01364

Rainbow colors pursued me above…click click click…the light and the colors were etherial as they pulled me into a photo shoot…

DSC01359

Ending with one more of life’s beautiful reflections…in a mud puddle no doubt at my feet:) There is a lesson in that!

And here we go..hang on!

Doing what I know…

Cowboy son Curt knows too…he’s talking to Annie!

Curt-Annie-Ry 013

As we learn to communicate with our horses, we can join them in the dance of respect and grace.

Curt-Annie-Ry 017

Horses have two basic forms of communication–vocal and body language. The more sophisticated of the two by far is body language. With a mere look, a flick of the ears, or a turn of the head, horses can communicate to each other and to us, if we learn to understand their body language.

Curt-Annie-Ry 036

Annie began to trust her human…she took the first step of the dance. Annie looks at Curt with trust…she submits as she now knows he will not hurt her or harm her…he is now her leader:)

Did I say hang on…I’m shifting gears through the corner and getting it on!

Wild weather and clouds are a daily occurrence here anymore…kind of weird but kinda cool for my camera!

Cone Doggie and not too happy! I don’t blame her..my poor Ellie! She was spayed on Wednesday and she has to wear this cone thing to protect her incision from her licking it to death…and she is not happy!

HI HRCG: I am always amazed at how much I love her. When I first rescued Nylablue I liked her well enough but there was no connection between us….at the 3 month mark after I was assaulted she grew closer to me. We then moved 4 months later to a new place & we have bonded more & more as time passes.
We were put together & most times that never works out well. I think Nylablue seeing me being hurt brought her closer to me & I knew she was abused so there was alot of empathy between us. I have chronic health probs & she sees me struggle & I see her struggle & we love each other & fight our respective battles to stay with each other!! It is “LOVE STORY”, lol…..
Our weather this past week has been cloudy; cold; rainy; snowy; cloudy; rainy; snowy….you get the picture! Fingers crossed the weather will improve soon…. 😉

I am so relieved Nylablue is stable….I always worry that there is a flare-upin the wings waiting to happen. It is a stupid way to be I know…
I love being a good “Nyla Mom”, She means so muc to me…I adore her as much as I did Mingflower; a deep love….
She thrives on LOVE; so does Minnie!!!
    I think you are a great Minnie-Mom 🙂
I know when Mingflower got sick with the Kidney Disease she lost alot of the vision she had left…so her 75% vision went down to 25% & I too carried her all over the house & outside….
I will do this for Nylablue if need be…altho her eyes are almost perfect so I doubt vision loss will be an issue….
Her bowels & pancreas are enough to deal with 😉
We have had wet snow & rain here every day….my Viral Sinusitis flared up & I’ve had a rough week I can tell you.
UGH! I hope this goes away soon!

Monday we are to be 75 degrees, I will love it:)

You are right HRGF!! It is amazing how well known we are & how loved Nylablue is all around the world. Even on Facebook where she shares ‘my’ page she has followers from all over including Turkey….
Because if our blog there are 2 people; one from WP & one on Blogger who are assisting with her vet bills & Speedy’s Mum Rachel & Stella from Mollie & Alfie’s blog are doing a fundraiser for 2 organizations AND Nylablue…I am truly humbled & touched by the outpouring of love we have received since Nylablue got so ill last July.
Totes are a lifesaver…storage & footstool all in one.
Nylablue & I went to Vet yesterday & she has gained a bit of weight. She was given a B12 shot & Pepcid shot & her oral Mirtazipine & is eating well & resting well.
We had an inch or so of snow last night (April Fool’s INDEED!) & today it is barely 30 F out so no Condo for Nylablue; boy is she cheesed off…we were sitting on the bench yesterday as it was 43 F & NN enjoyed herself…
Where or where is Spring??? 😉

I am so happy that Nylablue had a good day at the vets and that she is gaining weight and feeling better:) You are a good Nyla Mom:) Praying you will get some sunshine soon and warm temps and no more snow!!! I can not imagine snow here….ick! We got up to 68 degrees yesterday and I had to dig out a between seasons t-shirt:) It was great! Hugs to you and Mylablue and always prayers…Minnie is doing better but I do not think she can see at all…she sees shadows and light….her hearing is not as good either…she manages it ok but I keep an eye on her and carry her if she wants to go upstairs or downstairs…no clue how she lost her sight…as soon as it is warm enough I am going to take her out to the yard with me so she can smell the grass and hear all the birds…she has always lived in the house her whole life…it will be a treat for her:) Wishing you and Miss Nylablue and perfect day!!!

Can’t believe it is almost 11:30 p.m. on Sunday & I just got to your comment….I have been on laptop all afternoon and evening reading blogs and doing replies & did Nylablue’s new blog….time just flies by it seems!
I am thrilled Minnie is doing better!!!! Maybe she did need more one on one time with you. Nylablue would not ever share me with another 4 legged in the place.
No the totes are those Rubbermaid storage totes. I have linen in one & towels/ dish clothes in the other. They are weighted down & work as well as a foot stool.
Nylablue is slowing down on eating again….this is normal. The Mirtazipine has left her system; so back to the Vet on Tuesday for another treatment.
Hope you & Minnie & Ellie & all had a great weekend!

You have lots of blog emails to answer….and while daunting at times, it is awesome to see all that reach out to you and to Nylablue:) I will look for those totes here in town, great idea with using them for storage too…old house do not have huge closets. I hope Nylablue is doing ok tonight and that tomorrow will be a good day again:) Hugs and Kitty loves too:)

You always make me smile:) Minnie has not been super good the last few days…today she is much better but yeah…I worry myself and pray over her…today she moved around way better…ate more and drank more…put her litter box on the main floor of the house so now her litter box, water and food is all on one level…I am not trying to figure out a bed/nest for her that is easy to get in etc. Minnie is such a joy to my life and like Nylablue I love love love her. I am so thankful Nylablue is doing well and adapting her life…she is truly a blessing kitty:)

Always an enjoyable visit here. The puddle shots are such fun.
Annie reminded me of being a kid and working with the man on the next farm who raised palomino horses that he sold in Dallas “to rich people”. He’s gentle his young horses gradually using bags of sand slowly increasing the amount slowly – then he’d put us neighbor kids up while he talk livestock and hay to uncles and dads – leading the horse slowly in circles. Never saw any one of his horses buck or resent people. A rare man who spoke horse.

Thank you:) It’s always nice to see you:) the farmer who raised horses had a true gift…cowboy son Curt does too…it truly is a God gift for sure…your neighbor would have been interesting and I am sure I would have been over there watching him train so I could learn his ways. Natural horsemanship is so dang cool…we become one with our horses in body and mind…when we become the leader for our horses it changes the relationship into one of mutual respect and trust…I love it:)

We never “broke” horses – who would want a broken animal – so wrong. “Gentled” horses were so quiet and polite kids could pick up their hooves. Of course they’d still get bright eyed and trot like fine high stepping show horses around the pasture for a bit teasing us when we wanted to catch them for riding. Whoever says animal don’t have a sense of humor hasn’t lived on a farm

Nor did we…and yes it is very wrong. Horses are so smart and intuitive…they know your thoughts before you do:) My Dad was the old fashion cowboy but he never hurt his horses and he taught me a deep love and respect for them…he told me when I was very young that is a horse can feel a fly on its back it can feel you too…and when you make a mistake your horse can feel it but they are loving animals and if they sense you are trying to do the right thing with them they will tolerate you…he was a very wise Dad and cowboy.

Truly we were and amen…all animals to me have a good heart…they can love us as we love them…whether a horse or a cat or a dog or a cow or a??? On an on as God made lots of His animals…and what struck me more than anything with that is that God made the animals before He made us…He loves His animals…each and every one…He knows when a Sparrow falls from the sky…He knows our hearts and our animals too. After all He blessed us with them…and seriously I do not take that lightly…I try to be the very best with my animals…all of them:) I strive to learn more and more in communicating with them:)

Hi MJ:) Thank you much! Always good to see you and someday I hope we meet:) I often identify with your words, feeling like you are my sister, as we grew up very similar and can make a connection easily. Its almost spring here…had a lovely windy dust storm yesterday…the crops will soon bloom here and then I will be happily shooting more pictures of why we live here:) Yeah Ellie is not thrilled with her cone..I follow her around so that I can scratch her ears when she needs a good scratch:) Wishing you and Hubbs a wonderful weekend:)
