Sometimes, I simply take life in and think on it…
absorbing the incredible views of life itself all around me
the beauty of open skies and land you can see without end…I have lived here forever and it still takes my breath away!
fans running as our room is always hot in summer…husbands dozing, Ellie too…windows wide open,
smells like rains a coming, like a nice warm bath in winter…it smells incredible:)
an owl hoots somewhere close to the house as he flies by my window looking for dinner…
my horses are dancing in the moonlight…
night moves…night sounds…Juniper Canyon on a warm summers night…

Your ranch is so incredibly beautiful! I’m living vicariously through your photos. I’ve always wanted to live out in the wide open with lots of animals, especially dogs. 🙂

It is a place of extremes in some ways HRCG!!!
We have had drought conditions here where I am & it is brutal….
Grass is bleached blonde & does not grow. We finally had some rain yesterday but ground too dry & parched to properly absorb moisture. So I feel like I know understand what you go thru’ there when it is dusty/dry & fire hazards everywhere.
Sorry I did not write more yesterday….I was making ‘pit stops’ to many blogs. I seem to have fallen behind again….
A lot going on (isn’t there always?) so I am busy & then by nite time just watch Olympics & enjoy them.
It is a bit cooler here today>>>might even be able to open a window & let the air come in!!!! Woo Hoo as P SH would say!

I get lalost caught up & then things explode again….
I am so busy with phone calls & PC & paperwork for Feral cat group. I need to spend a few days either doing work for them or read blogs/do replies. Combining both is not working…. 😉
When does Life ‘slow down’? Certainly not @ 60 I can tell you…

I know what you mean! All I can say is that both WB and I would tell you no it does not slow down at all once you are 60, it seems to speed up and you become even more busy! I go between farm business, to hot rod business to the bookkeeping for all and then us too…and the social media we are doing with our business…we have a Facebook page now too! And Instagram! Cleaning house is never ending huh? And life….I love to dance so we gotta keep on dancing:) Oh yeah, whats for dinner:) I never know…love you my friend!

Truly at times it is…but we also have times of dust and dry temps that burn all vegetation up…and then we have fire weather! Thank you much my friend for dropping into my blog…I miss you hugely!

I love Marty and Ralphie and your dogs too…I do miss my Minnie kitty and Marty makes me think of her and I can’t help but giggle. Minnie was a true character much like Marty and Ralphie. Wishing you a good day and also send lots of fur pets for all:)

I lived in Breckenridge for 11 years before it became so commercial. I was also blessed with lots of time to travel around beautiful Colorado 🙂 Oh Minnie, she was so sweet 🙂

Minnie was my heart kitty and I do miss her….she was as you know too with your animals, so very human and kind, full of catitude and love!
The Rockies:) Ahhhh, I loved Wyoming, we lived on the continental divide…incredible and the scenery was ever changing with the light year round…I looked out my kitchen window at Gannet Peak at over 14,000′ elevation, we lived at 7500′ elevation. The Rockies are heaven on earth…loved my views and still treasure my memories of WY. We lived a 90 miles from Jackson and our small town at the time was still a small town with lots of good old fashion fun with good people, 100 year ranchers still doing it the old way:)

I hope your beautiful sunsets are the end of equally beautiful days! It hasn’t been one of the epic, great summers here, but I’m hoping that we make up for it with a wonderful late summer into Autumn. Also, here’s to feeling good and enjoying life!

Ahhh thank you much for your kind words:) Our summer too has been off with the usual weather…today it is 68 degrees with possible showers. Unheard of the first part of August but we do need rain too!
