Golden Dreams Call….

Golden dreams call to me, as the old clock with its steady tick tick tick lulls me to sleep….

SONY DSC

I smile as I remember visiting my Grandma each summer with Mom…

SONY DSC

I loved hearing Grandma’s clock chime on the hour and on the half…ticking its tock, counting the precious seconds in our families lives, for well over a 100 years now. Just think if that clock could talk!

Mom used to set the time ahead when she had to practice piano as a little girl growing up, in a much different world than today.

I rest in God’s grace and His quiet peace…as the old memories wash over me.

SONY DSC

The crickets came back early this year with their nightly serenade singing me to sleep…drifting off to la la land:)

Life is ever changing…we all seem to live our lives dancing as fast as we can…

DSC03422

And I love the dance but, I do remember a simpler time. How about you?

Wishing you a “Blessed Easter” week!

As I close in on my 67th birthday I recall my parents when they were that age. All things are relative when it comes to age. I had a senior in his eighties laugh out loud when he asked me my age age I told him. He didn’t use the term “whippersnapper” but I felt he wanted to. 🙂

Hello HRCG I wondered if the PC had ‘packed it in’! So relieved all is well with you there & you are back online. I agree technology is great as long as it is working properly……lol….
75 degrees??? it is around 18 degrees here & we are in a Polar Vortex & it is snowing like crazy out again. I think our entire planet is going crazy.
Purrince Siddhartha Henry is still a ‘paw full’ at times. I can still see the feral in him. Sometimes I have to just put him in ‘time out’. That helps. I also give him Bach’s when he gets too wild. When he is in discomfort he acts out too. So I have to monitor him like a hawk. I adore him so much. If only he would not scratch & try to shred the drapes. he has reverted back to some kittenhood behaviours, so I have to ride this out.
And I sure hope I can stay healthy for the foreseeable future! Being sick for almost 3 months knocked the stuffing out of me 😦
Sending you lots of ❤ LOVE ❤ & prayers, Sherri-Ellen & ***nose kissesss***

Sorry I was not here sooner; I have been sick since the year started…..
At least I am here now 🙂
    G-D bless you all there.

Hey GF! Happy Belated Easter to you too:) I feel bad that you are not feeling ok…makes my heart hurt for you! How are you doing now and how is your sweet kitty boy? I know he will settle down more and more as time goes on.
This last month, just when I had my books in order for taxes, my main computer died…luckily the hard drive was ok…had to buy a new computer and all is well today but what a huge hassle! It kept me offline as I was focused on making sure I had my books intact. I love technology but when it acts up…it stinks!
Today was 75 degrees…can you believe that? Crazy weather for sure…but I’m not complaining as I loved feeling the sun on my head. I mowed the yard and did this and that outside while Ellie played. So glad to hear from you:) Know that even when I don’t hear from you, you are in my prayers always…and so is Mister Purrince Kitty Boy….Big {{{{HUGS}}}} and Paw Patsss too from Ellie Girl to Siddhartha Henry:)

What a beautiful post! Mama didn’t have any Grandmothers or Grandfathers who were alive, but was blessed by many “Aunts & Uncles” whose memories she cherishes. Best wishes for an exceptionally meaningful Easter! Skyler

I did not have my grandmothers long enough…but grateful for the time and their memories. My Mom’s mother passed away the year she married my Dad, her Dad eventually remarried so I had a Step-Grandmother for most of my growing up years. And like your Mama I had lots of aunts and uncles…Dad’s family was close when I was growing up. Give Skyler Braveheart a hug from Ellie and I send you Happy Easter wishes and hugs too:)

Hi there! It has been a long time!!! Life has been good to me, hardest part is that I am more busier now than when I was younger. Crazy! Thank you for saying “Hey you” its good to see and hear from you. Our weather has been colder than usual but the rains have helped so I will not complain too much…I was out this morning with our horseshoer as Melody needed a trim and it was a 32 degree windchill! Wishing you a peaceful and joyous Easter weekend:)

Easter always takes me back to the Church of my childhood, Mary Janes shoes, cold knees, Ham dinner and Grandma’s pies. Big hugs to you and Ellie and Happy Easter! MJ

We must have gone to the same Church…same Mary Jane shoes, which I still love today, also a hat and usually white cotton gloves:) Then we met up with cousins and aunts and uncles for the Easter egg hunt at Grandma’s….I do remember those times but Grandma passed away when I was only six. My mom would buy Russell Stover Easter eggs and hide them for me in the house as it was usually cold but some years we hunted outside too. I was young as in under 8 years old. About then we got into the cattle business and often Easter weekend consisted of gathering, branding, checking the health of the herd as soon they went to the mountains with us for the summer…I loved it as I would be outside in God’s church, His elements and His peace. Big hugs to you too and wishing you a peaceful and joyful Easter weekend…its good to see you:)

Hello Rachel and Speedy! Its so good to see you both! Missed ya! My busy part of life the last month has been computers, tax time and printers…main office computer crashed the day I was to go to the accountant…long story but thankfully my files were unharmed…hard part was replacing that computer and re-hooking up printers and lines. I finally get to do my tax stuff in the next week…so that was part of it and they other intense focus was on working with the web page designer as we are going to launch a new web page soon for our business…so that took me away from everything too. I’m on the home stretch now hopefully!!! Thank you for your sweet and kind words, they mean tons to me:) I wish you and Speedy a fun and peaceful Easter weekend…maybe Speedy can find some yummy candy eggs:) Sending hugs:)
