Late at night I go outside to put bird seed down for the Pigeons & I just stand on my patio & enjoy the silence & the snow. On clear nights I look at the stars & feel connected to a Greater Being. Our world is a beautiful place….we just have to look for the beauty!

The first two photos were taken by a friend and I took the rest with my trusty Cannon at the time…this was the part of Wyoming where we lived…it was to me “Heaven On Earth” Oh My…Oh My…I knew I was in His glory there…incredible scenery and wow did it stir my heart with creativity! After we moved back to Juniper Canyon, I went back to school and in my English Comp. class I wrote and wrote about Wyoming as it spoke to me deeply in heart and spirit. When we moved the cattle in the early spring, out to our pasture, in the high desert between Pinedale and Rock Springs….(about a 100 miles between towns) we looked at South Pass…I saw where our ancestors came across after making it over the Rockies only to see the flat high desert and the different ways one could choose to go from there…not easy at all! Made me thing of how tough my ancestors had it, to finally get through the Oregon Trail and settle here. You can not see power lines, or any kind of civilization, for all I knew I entered a time warp each time we went out to check the cows. It was truly one of those life experiences we have….when we sit back and have no words.
We lived at 7500 elevation in Pinedale…high up in the Rockies. And every day when I went out the door I had to stop and catch my breath as I stepped into another painting of life. The Rockies were ever changing with light and shadows, and how I wish I had the cameras of today then:) So good to see you and I love the photo of you with the horse in the round corral:) You will make it through with your girl…hang in there….remember this too will pass and she will become your friend in time:) Big Hugs:)

That is a great quote!beautiful photos again!Winter has finally arrived we have cold frosty starts with showers of sleet and snow….its not settling as the ground is to warm and so waterlogged.Speedy went to the beach yesterday as it was the only place that isn’t a muddy squelchy swamp.it was sleeting and snowing when we left but at the beach it was gloriously sun and not to windy so even though it was very cold in the sun it felt warm.Speedy loved it and came home one tired bunny ,he even slept in the car on the way home and at bedtime he came in for his cuddle and went to sleep in my arms for an hour before going back for his bedtime snack,xx Rachel

It is a great quote and seems especially true out here in the desert. We’ll be back home soon to a whole different middle of nowhere. Have a great weekend!

It’s a great quote……and the other part of it is even if it feels much like you are “nowhere” you are NEVER alone……….ever.

    Hugs, Pam (and Sam)
