Golden Carmel Colors Of Fall…Fall Softly On The Land…

As the early dawn light slowly creeps through my window,

SONY DSC

Waking me with a soft amber glow…

God is painting the day for me:) Incredibly beautiful!

DSC05225

The surreal light lasts throughout my day…as do the colors of fall.

With the days being shorter…time passes blink fast!

Night moves begins…full of swoopy clouds with golden colors fading into blues, pinks, oranges…and a beautiful sunset!

And as the world turns…

The sun yawns and goes to bed…

And as we follow the sun…we too yawn and decide Mr. Sun has a good idea:)

With that said…HRCG along with Wild Bill, Ellie and Tucker in the background are over and out!

Have a blessed weekend wherever you are!

    A green holiday….
have learned how to enjoy my own company & space & I have learned to accept what I can not change! No point n stressing over things I have no control over….

One of the nice things about Autumn/Winter is the quiet….I love the quiet….I can hardly wait for a few feet of snow that closes things down 😉
I am glad I made the decisions I did about so-called family & certain friends. I am a lot calmer & focused. I have no illusions anymore & that is a good thing.
Now to get over the fatigue I have been suffering since September…..lol….

Yes I love the quiet too…am totally content to not have TV or the radio on…and snow seems to quiet the world, almost like a quiet quilt falls on the land and the outside world…I know what you mean about family/friends…those illusions can be a huge hassle. I used to have them too until just the last few years…I kept thinking life would be like it was when I grew up but those days are gone…we need to move on into a new chapter of life…and its good…it brings peace to not expect anything with holidays…both WB and I make our own memories now and find happiness with each other…our lives and our animals:) Hugsssss:)

I like that term: ‘quiet quilt’….that describes snow perfectly HRCG!
As of today Dec. 9th still NO snow??? Seems odd I can tell you!
I agree that moving on is the best & only option. I am now very content on my own with my cat & my Muppet DVD’S. 🙂

Good Morning:) I am so far behind with my blog and emails…time is in the usual warp speed! Do you have snow yet? We have had many snow days where it comes down hard and melts by the next day…and lots of rain too…I am hoping for snow on Christmas Eve and Day:) I am so happy for you too as I hear that contentment in your voice….it is the only way too in moving on:)

I am used to a certain amount of noise. However I had lived on the West Hill for 11 years on a dead end street which was blissfully quiet.
It is almost 9 years since I moved into this building & you would think I was used to the noise by now. I was used to it…the noise has increased in the past 3-4 years ALOT> Plus 2 major streets from west to east side of town have been closed most of this year so that has increased flow of traffic. I pray the 2 streets are opened soon….I would so enjoy less traffic.
I have turned ALOT over to G-D recently. Had to. My health & sanity were in jeopardy. I decided to let go of a few more ‘fair weather’ friends. I need solid people in my Life. It is no easy to make some decisions but I trust G-D will see me thru’.
Thank you for all your support & concern. It means the world to me!

      Yeah the traffic noise and trucks would bug me too…there is nothing like not hearing anything at night…and I am here for you always:) I know about making those decisions…but in order to keep our life solid and peaceful we have to let go and let go of those who continue to judge and critique us…its about letting loose of the toxic people in your life…it is hard but our sanity is important. We cannot keep others happy, that is their job! Our job is to take care of ourselves…just us and out animals of course…it is not up to us to keep the world happy…setting boundaries and learning to let our yes be yes and our no be no:) I had to learn that about 15 years ago…hard to do but…God only wants me to take care of me and He will take care of the rest. Love n Hugs to you and sending up special prayers for tomorrow…let us both remember good memories of our girls and good times…we miss them both but we know that they are ok and we will hold them again…{{{{{{Huggggsssss}}}}}}

I love the amber glow of fall and the cool nights, too
Our flowers are confused, too. We had a couple of cool snap, then back to warm…and now lots of rain. Think it’s gonna be a chilly wet one this year.

I yet have flowers blooming…totally weird for here. Today it is raining and kind of dark so that you want to snuggle in and nap all day! I do love the golden amber falls too:) A welcome sight after a dry dry summer…

Those are the colors we are into right now too. We are past the reds, oranges. Even the yellow is gone. It’s now all gold, caramel, and bronze. But still warm. I like the warm.

We finally got some rain over the weekend…finally. We need lots more but at least we had actual rain instead of sprinkles! My flowers here are yet blooming…weird but like you I like the warm days…we are to hit 28 degrees tomorrow night so that may change the landscape a bit! I love the colors of fall…the warm days and cool nights make me say ahhhhhh:)

What breathtaking scenery where you live HRCG.
Our weekend was rainy, windy & sort of stressful>>> I am praying to G-D for a quieter week!!! There is just too much noise where I live & now my 2 friends in building are at odds. Then there is my beloved Siddhartha Henry & his health & mine….being in the dark at 5 pm is quite disconcerting…..
    Sorry I sound like a ‘glum chum’….
I adore your photos…Kisses to Ellie & Tucker & Melody & (((hugs))) to you & regards to WB…

Hey girl:) No glum at all…unless I can join in as we fell back last night too…was soo weird today to feed Mel at 4:45 and it was almost dark because of the the time change…huge sigh and ugh and yuk…hate the fall change as it will be dark at 4:00 in the afternoon…that just does not fly here with HRCG…dang! Our daylight hours are soooo few now and it is hard to get it all in! Thank you forever and always for your support and kind words with my little blog:) I appreciate where we live every day and every night:) Big Hugzzzzz and Kitty Paw Pats:)

I do not like the time change at all….messes my body & my brain up…..even Siddhartha Henry was confused it was dark so early.
I do not like dark @ 4pm either & that happens in December & January…..*sighs*
Today has been a lovely ‘Indian Summer’ day. The Siding guys are working…and then an argument broke out between the Lead Guy & a sub contractor…..As in “Pay me now or I walk off the job…” At the rate things are going this job will never get done! I just brought Siddhartha Henry in & am going to lie down & rest. Doors closed so I do not have to hear the squabbling.
        It’s always something 😉

Me neither…it is a hard adjustment and Ellie also has been wondering what happened outside with the dark coming so early now. Has to be hard to hear other people and noise outside…it would drive me bonkers…I am so used to quiet. I am so glad that now you and Purrince SH are doing better and enjoying the warm days and also catching up rest. Love you and big hugs:)

Well today is lovely & warm but the workmen are on lawn out front so we are stuck in. Going bonkers I can tell you! *sighs*
I can’t remember what peace & quiet sounds like.
I am still feeling Fatigue & very ‘jagged’. No patience at all. I just put the ‘littul Purrince’ in bedroom because he would not stop meowing to go out in Condo & it is too noisy & chaotic outside. He can be very stubborn. *sighs*
Once 5 pm rolls around he can go out in Condo for as long as he wants….
At least he likes sitting out after dark 😉

Stress does that to you…we both have experienced it…everything is off in life. I do hope you can rest and sleep more as that will restore your well being. In our married life we have rarely taken time away…our first real vacation was in 2001 and it was great. We both tend to over work and it is hard for us to turn off our brains at night to relax…most of our friends our age are retired now, not us tough…we still feel that we want to advance our business more yet so we will stick with it for a few more years to come! We have felt stressed beyond reason some years of life but we manage to get through it…mainly go to sleep earlier if you can and turn off the laptop earlier too so your mind can relax some before bed:) Eat good food too and drink lots of water…when I say it is quiet here it is only at night…we have various farmers go by back and forth all day long, farm equipment like tractors and such go by and in the summer we have huge semi trucks going by all day long for a good month during wheat harvest…and Bill has employees in the working shop…I can hear compressors running and various zoom zoom cars start up…its not super quiet here but I am used to these noises and to me it is peaceful none the less…to someone else it would prob be annoying or loud? Not sure. Having grown up a farm girl and around cattle too the sounds are familiar to me…growing up Mom and I would go to the big city once a year overnight for school clothes but we as a family never took a vacation as often is the case when you are in charge of livestock year round. Good thing I learned all this young as with Bill and I we never can step away for very long with the ranch and the business…so we make time in the evenings to just veg…he likes to veg with TV and I like to read…was never into TV…or I write. I think for me learning to trust God with my life and our circumstances helped with my stress load…sometimes I would say Father I trust you with such and such a million times a day until the such and such would be gone…its the peace that passes understanding:) Love you much and love little crazy pants too…hugs:)

Your place sounds peaceful compared to where I am living HRCG. We have grain haulers & the Sutherland 18 Wheelers who haul road salt. Some days it is crazy with big trucks. Summer add the motorcycles travelling thru’. Plus regular car traffic & then Ambulances; Fire trucks (Inter-Township Dept) around the corner & up the street….oh & the Police also….
Winter it is quieter & I really love the quiet. When we have blizzards I am completely happy 😉
I am shutting laptop off earlier than I used to. Lites off around 7-8 pm & just use nite lites. TV goes off 11 pm. I sit & read with my reading lite.
I try to eat well but that is difficult on the budget I have. I do drink a lot of water & limit caffeine to 2 cups coffee in morning. Only drink Decaf tea in afternoon & evening. Try to get fruit daily. That helps a lot.
I pray/talk to G-D. I do not believe He meant for me to end up in Council Housing & have the family abandoning me. I have come to accept what I can not change & be grateful for all that I DO have….
Life could be far worse…..so I must remain grateful 😉

I can’t imagine how noisy it is for you! Sounds awful! I love blizzards too as there is a quiet on the land…and a quiet on the road…the world becomes beautifully white with out any sounds….love it too:) I am so glad that you are getting better….and I am like you as sometimes we have to give it to God and trust Him…and when we do all of a sudden we have peace that passes understanding:) Big hugs and always prayers!Love you and Purrince:)

Love you Savannah…you remind me of Kalamazoo who lived with us for 18 years…he was a black Manx…and so full of spit and vinegar:) He would remember if you offended him and he would hunt you down or track you down when you least expected it…and he would attack ya with both teeth and absent claws. He was so very cool and such a part of our family…our kids friends loved him and also respected him…he was my Zippy Zoo:) Hugszzzz:)

In case you’re not aware I’m now far away from Oregon in Massachusetts. It’s beautiful here in the Autumn and I’m finding the small town of Uxbridge charming with delightfully friendly people everywhere. I must admit it’s refreshing compared to the melting pot of cultures in Portland. I’m feeling pretty happy about my new home although I miss my Portland friends a lot. Hopefully I’ll make new one here.

Yes I knew you had moved…and also had Apple issues the same weekend I did. I also down loaded the new El Capitan too with the new OSX…my email was a mess…took me a good week to finally get it right…I could receive email but could not send email…crazy but as of last weekend it was working! So weird how much we depend on our email and our computers! I’m so glad that you are seeing the blessing of living where you do now…and your Oregon friends will not forget you…unless they are not friends for the long haul! But I am:)

I don’t hand out the term friend to many. Friends are people you can trust to be there when stuff goes South. I have a handful of friends that meet those requirements.I’m truly blessed to have that many.
