Ellie And I Had….

An excellent adventure! Our first Spring walkabout!

DSC01907

It was heavenly to feel the warm sun on our backs as we hiked up the hill!

DSC02200

Winter seemed long this year with the lack of snow and our usual winter weather…instead we had blah days of gray overhead with occasional fog.

DSC01923

Thank goodness, Spring has arrived with clear blue skies as far as I can see…not a cloud in sight!

DSC01945

And Ellie found something and she is digging it!

DSC02941

I do love my clouds as long as they are like this…they are fun to capture on film!

DSC01948

And Ellie is yet digging….she is such a character!

DSC03072

Melody is shedding out her winter coat…she is so pretty this time of year as her dark red bay hair sheds out to reveal the white roan hair underneath…she is my horse of ever changing colors! She is called a Red Bay Roan, her legs remain black as does her mane and tail and her head…but her body roans out in summer and she is striking when you see her! I think she is beautiful…and yes she is my horse of course:)

DSC06734

And as the day began to draw to a close….

DSC01950

The incredible skies we have here during “magic time” stop me in my tracks….I’m a grabbing my camera!

DSC01890

And Ellie Belle is happy and ready for a nap…and it sounds like a good idea!

HRCG is over and out for now but hang on….I will be back!

78 degrees??? Oh that sounds lovely….we had 22 degress here today & a North Wind…..I had a horrid Asthma attack today & ended up flat on my back for a few hours. Then had to go out & trying not to breathe thru my mouth was tricky….managed to get home in 1 piece but had another attack. Salbutamol saved the day….except for the headache.
As for your low back injury OH NO HRCG!!!!! I KNOW how severe the pain can be. Have you been putting ice on it? Can you take any Anti Inflammatories?? Even Aspirin would help with inflammation.
I hope it is just a strain…..praying for you here!!!!!
Ellie & Siddhartha Henry our little angels on earth…
I think of Nylablue too. Hold the ashbox an cry some. Then Siddhartha Henry headrubs me & kisses me & that eases the sadness.
    Wishing you a painless weekend….hoping & praying…
    Gentle {{{hugs}}} Sherri-Ellen

I totally agree HRCG>>>just keep on keepin on right?
I had Uterince & Cervical Cancer back in 1985. Like you I did not go for Chemo etc. I had surgery & thankfully it was caught & I left the rest up to G-D. It was terrifying but I decided I was going to live…PERIOD!
I have survived so much in my years…..so when I get down I remind myself of the really awful times 😉
I wish there was a cure for Skeletal Hyperostosis & the Arthritis too…but there is not & I shall soldier on…..as best I can 😉
Purrince Siddhartha Henry has helped me with Nylablue’s passing. I did not know how I could go on w/out her. (I had felt that way when Mingflower left too).
The Purrince will see me thru….

Yes we rock the boat and keep on keeping one:) I wish there was a cure for your illness too…it has to be very painful! I hurt my low back on the 15th this month…saw the dr. today and had x-rays…wow is the low back injury painful! Holy cow! I was lifting something as I did not think and it was something that I could not drop but had to carry and then squat with it to put it down…I knew something was wrong but it was the next night and something was very wrong. Keeping my fingers crossed it is just a strain and not a fracture!!!
I miss Minnie everyday and often at night…this time of year was her love of spring weather with the windows open and her sunbathing…I remind myself that she is doing that in heaven and while I miss her she healthy and keeping my parents company…to her it has only been a few hours since she saw me:) Ellie has helped me laugh and I love her so much…she is my shadow and my girl:) And I am thankful that you have the Purrince too:) Sending hugs and prayers your way and lots of wishes for a warm spring soon! It was clear blue sky today with 78 degrees:)

Life on Life’s terms..it just IS HRCG! I have learned to roll with it for the most part. Sometimes it does get a bit much but you are right; I just dig in & get on with things. It is hard sometimes. So am glad of the quiet time & being able to rest.
I think the laptop correctted itself as it is working today 🙂
The Skeletal Hyperostosis is brutal my friend & causing alot of pain for me. I end up flat on my back almost every afternoon & have to nap. At least Purrince ‘clown in fur’ is here to keep me company 😉
These black/seal brown cats sure are born entertainers aren’t they?

I think that is the only way we can be….just do it and keep a going! Sometimes it can be scary or hard but we keep walking on:) I also enjoy the quiet times….actually the quiet is a balm for my soul at times:) I wish they had a cure for the disease so that you did not have to deal with it. I am sure it is hard but you are a survivor…when i went through breast cancer, the first week I went through 18 hours of surgery and then two days later another four hours….amazing what our bodies can endure and how they heal. We chose to be the most proactive we could in treatment and doing it the way we did meant that I was able to avoid chemo and radiation…mainly as the nodes were clear and it had not become invasive yet. I still feel I was very blessed and when I look back it did not seem that big of a deal to me as I went through all of it ok. I think how we speak to ourselves and how we perceive our life makes a huge difference…I am a the glass is half full person:) I am so thankful you have the Purrince and yes they are priceless:) thinking of you and sending up prayers:)

Hello HRCG! All I can say is Hallellujah it has been a peaceful 5 days here in a row!!!
Why is it a bunch of thngns go wrong at the same time?? LOL.
Fridge is working better than when I got it & no more popcorning sounds coming from it 😉
I was SO happy we still had snow I can tell you…
Siddhartha henry is my right paw guy for sure! Altho his new hobby iss shredding the shower curtain lining….what a cat!!! I bought a new one….but I am going to wait til the other one is shredded or he stops. Trust me spraying him & hollering has not stopped him…my ‘clown in fur’…..hahahahaha!!!
The laptop is acting up so if I disappear it is because it went back to the shop….fingers crossed it will survive a while longer….
Wishing you a good & sunny week.

I bet you are more than relieved! I have no clue but I know what you are talking about….mom used to say when it rains, it pours! Sometimes you feel like running away but instead you dig your heels in:) I love the clown in fur….that fits him! He reminds me of Kalamazoo as he was such a character…made me laugh from morning to night and his antics were incredible! Oh poop on the laptop that is just not fair! I hope it will just hiccup and then get back to work for you:) Wishing you the beginning of spring to show up for you asap…and sending prayers and hugs for all the dumb things causing you pain and trouble! Enough is enough! Sleep well with your little purrrrince clown in fur:)

Thank you Kasey:) Melody is practically human and so in tune to us…she is one of the most personal horses I have ever owned.I am blessed to call her my horse:) How is the weather in your area now? We are way behind moisture here as we did not have a wet or snowy winter and the ground is dry…it is odd to have it so mice here already. Hoping your life is going well:) Hugs, HRCG

Oh, that is neat! Being given my horse, Chief, this past February has changed my life, truly. We were given my daughter’s horse, Star, last July, and the same has happened for her-life changing. I truly feel connected to Chief-he is a quiet character, slow to look at but has a spirit that comes out when you least expect it. I love him so much! Things are going well, but indeed, the drought here is absolutley terrible and a bit scary. Not sure what we’ll do if the water runs out completely as “they” are predicting within a year! The dryness has brought out the ticks and fleas like no other time, also. But, we Californians just keep enjoying what is also gorgeous weather, and with daylight savings time-riding is at a premium! 🙂 XOXO

So happy to hear that things are going well and I love that you both have horses:) I know I know exactly what you talk of as horses connect deeply within our hearts….every horse that I have owed wants relationship and to be safe…we connect in heart and in spirit…and when they trust me, giving their heart to me, I am blessed by the true love of a horse and that is awesome! They are such loving and wise spirits….I love every part of them:) We are way dry here too and I worry about the fire danger this summer…last year we were short of crop moisture and without the rains or the snow that we needed, makes for a long hot summer….of course today was beautiful, 78 degrees and a clear blue sky…love it! And I love the longer daylight horse too:) Hugs:)

Hello Sherri-Ellen and the Purrrince:) So good to hear from you two…and I hope I can convince some of our warmer days to come visit you! Ellie is so sweet and such a blessing and she loves kisses and hugs:) And Melody sends horse hugs….she is so pretty with her ever changing coat of color. The first few years after getting her, I had neighbors stop and ask if I had a new horse as her coat changes so much in the spring and summer. Sending you lots of ((((Huggggzzzz)))) and lots of good wishes for a blessed weekend and a happy spring ahead”)

I know I know it has been too long! I read about the mishap with the refrigerator and all that was involved…condo inspection etc. How very very stressful and so unfair with the refrigerator, but I am glad you had the snow and cold to keep the food ok! I hope too that you are feeling much better now….and that the Purrrince is blessing you with lots of love and laughter:) Sending happy thoughts and kitty boy loves to Siddhartha and sending you big hugs:)
