Surprise…Fire In The Skies!

Surprise Surprise…Fire In The Skies…Yee Haw!

DSC00999

As the afternoon sun was setting…I noticed it seemed it was setting in the East instead of the West…what? I grabbed my camera and ran outside in my slippers…snap snap snap!

DSC01000

Looking back over my shoulder, I saw incredible skies filled with fiery orange colors…Holy Cow! That is the roof of the house to the right that you see and God’s glory above!

DSC01005

I ran off the patio in my slippers towards the big hill behind the house…it was cold but, as a photographer I’m gonna get that shot no matter what!

DSC01010

I was so pumped! It was incredible to see, as the light and colors kept changing by the seconds!

DSC01006

Whoop Whoop Whoopee Cool!

DSC01019

I would have loved to get my boots on to climb the hill but time was short!

DSC01022

I grabbed one last shot behind the house….

DSC01020

Already the light was fading across the road…the sun was down except on top of the hill.

DSC01018

The lights of home welcomed me back, it was time, as my slippers were soaked!

SONY DSC

Our snow has been slowly melting the last few days! But we are under another winter storm advisory for a combo of snow, sleet and freezing rain tonight through Monday…I hope this storm misses us!

Hi Marcy…oh my gosh you used your first name!!! LOL. I am so used to writing HRCG>> like an actual name. I am so glad you had some fire in the sky after all the grey! We had some Sumshine today & blue sky & it was divine despite the extreme cold.
I am thankful we are friends & I can see where you live & how beautiful it is.
LOL about falling down; I am sure I am a bigger klutz!

Ohhhh you are both so very sweet…I would love to be able to give you both gentle kitty loves. I am so happy to hear that all our prayers are being answered by Lexi’s feeling better…I am going to keep on praying for her and well for all of you:) We all need prayers as sometimes life is not easy and other times it is great fun…just know that I am praying and thinking of yous. I know that I will forever miss my Minnie Kitty Girl as I loved her so…it helps me to see and hear about your kitty lives and makes me remember happy times when Minnie would snuggle with me and purrrr as I would give her kitty loves and rubs. My little dog Ellie Bell sticks to me like glue with lots of doggie loves and tries to make me smile. I love your blog and your Mommy does a great job taking your pictures and sharing with all of us:) Your catantics always brings a smile to my heart. Sending tender hugs, kitty loves and prayers always.

You are so right and I know that too…I could not bear to see her suffer…she was always feisty and loved to play…her last week was not ok. Hardest decision I ever made…I stayed with her as I did not want her to suffer with fear so I cradled her in her favorite blanket and spoke my love to her softly and hugged her to my heart..she was my baby. I know she is with me and her love is God given. Bless you both for your tender heart spoken words…sending you much love and soft kitty rubs…

I truly love them as there is never one that looks like the one you saw the night before…and year round! I love sunrises too:) It was so cool to see it after so many days of cold cold temps and gray skies…winter sunsets are more dramatic in some ways. Happy New Years! Wishing you the very best!!!

You sound so much like me! I am so klutzy and often do very ding dong things to get a good shot…of course if you ask my hubby he would say “Naw she is always klutzy!” And I know he is right…in my Junior High picture I had bandages on both knees from learning to ride my bicycle in the gravel…and various other tom girl stuff! I do try now to not trip or twist an ankle but…my Mom alays said it was my long legs getting in the way LOL! I bet it was beautiful to see the view from up there….you will have to share your pictures as I would love to see them:) Happy New Years to you and wishing you the very best of years…filled with fun times, health, happiness and times of great blessings:)

We miss him alot but he and his wife, love NZ…they traveled there a few times and said ok we are moving there and they did! They are NOT thrilled with the earthquakes but love living there…they bought property about an hour out of Wellington, mini farms of sorts with 5 acres and already goats and the neighbors cattle..and her horse. We hope to get there as soon as we can…it is hard with a small business and employees. I bet you will miss your daughter too as 7 months in India is a long long time! It will be an awesome experience for her and she will see a lot of the world. once in a lifetime experience for her:)

Our son just got back from Bali for their holiday with the company he works for…just like Cairns…I have not thought of going there but now I am thinking of both places:)

Naw age does not make a difference with our kids. My Mom was still worrying over me when she was 80 years old and I was in my 40’s…I think as mothers, it is a God given instinct to worry and love our kids forever. I hear ya on the traveling….it is hard with animals, we always have a house sitter stay to care for our animals and also the ranch chores. Still is is hard to go and takes forever to get everything in order to be gone…and we miss our animals too. Sending happy wishes for a relaxing weekend over yonder:)
