Calling Sky Pilot…Weather Alert…Weather Alert…Calling Sky Pilot…Come In Please?

This post is about weather and clouds as we have had very unusual weather here the last few years and some of it has been extreme. This is for my cloud loving subscribers…enjoy and enjoy…as these are only the tip of the iceberg!

The photo above of the clouds was going over the house and my head…I stepped off the patio to shoot it. Kind of a WOWSERS to look up and see this or any of the storms!

SONY DSC

This storm showed up around 1:00pm on an afternoon in June with several individual storms….some were dropping…some were rotating and most were quite ominous!

SONY DSC

And then there is this…amazing to see thunder heads and clouds of this size with all the varied colors…odd beauty on camera!

SONY DSC

I have to include my twist and shout clouds too!

SONY DSC

And the rumple bumple clouds…

SONY DSC

Hello…Tokyo Oklahoma?

SONY DSC

Uh…welllll…this formation was interesting?

SONY DSC

And God came in with His paint brush and fluffed…then stroked the clouds a bit

And with that said God Night…remember He always has the night shift:)

I totally agree HRCG!!! We were being protectd by both human & heavenly forces that day! It was an F3 tornado & it did ALOT of damage…..
I will never forget the experience I can tell you 😉

WOW & SUPER YIKES is right HRCG!!! We were tent camping in a national park in Michigan listening to the radio on the motorcycle. We heard a tornado warning for a bunch of counties & we causually asked what county we were in! The fellow beside us said the name & we almost fainted, lol, There was nowhere to go to be safe so all the campers parked their trucks in a circle around our tent. They were 2-3 deep so we had a bit of protection. It went deathly quiet & the 5 pm summer sky went THAT weird green & then the wind & rain started. Lightning zapped our CN antenna right before our eyes. We dove into our tent & clung to each other. When the ‘roaring of a freight train’ started I actually unzipped & looked out to see the tornado in all its fury across the pond from where we camped. Like I said terrifying & awesome! It was the longest nite of my life at that point I can tell you…but what a great memory!!!

It was terrifying & awesome all at the same time. I am not sure I wuld be so brave if this happened to me again 😉

Your photos do not need ANY photoshopping HRCG!! You have a wonderful eye for Nature!
As for the weather; it is changing all over the planet!
I was listening to our Weather Network & they were talking about how my Province has X amount tornadoes every year……I was like”WHAT????” Now they talk about the ‘Canadian Tornado Alley’…we never heard of this even 5 years ago. Plus we rarely had tornadoes & our last Hurricane was in 1995 before I was born; now it seems commonplace. Scares me alot.
The planet is trying to tell us we are hurting her; but not enough people are listening!
(Like I have to tell you that).

Thank you much:) Yes the last 3 years the weather has changed here…I am seeing weather and clouds that I have never seen before:) Incredible and feel blessed to have a camera that captures the weather like it does. I do not have Photoshop…would love to have it but I need to take a class first so that I can truly use it. I understand it is labor intensive to learn it and I need time. So I just snap pictures with my camera and sometimes I wonder to myself “Wow, how did the photo show the amazing colors and the amazing light and the amazing images?” I feel blessed to capture all my photos and it is so much fun for me to share them with my blog friends:)

If your WiFi goes out and there’s no television, you have a permanent show above you. Amazing, just amazing. I don’t think i could ever get tired of watching that display. Wow.

Oh yeah truly we do:) I am amazed at the storms the last few years! We have not had these type of storms here in my lifetime…I grab my camera and get out there to capture the storms above my head. We lived in Wyoming for a bit and our weather here was boring after Wyoming…until the last few years…now it is rock and roll! You never grow tired of it!

Thank you for the congrats…still can not believe it has been 3 years…time goes so fast! So far we have been lucky as we have not had close fires but we do have the hazy smoke off and on…I hope the fires in your area are soon put out and no more are started!
