I got your comment and answered some but wasn’t sure if you get a return notification on an reply or not so I figure I’ll just reply to your comment here,OK? To answer your question if I have ever thought of turning my stories into a book, the answer is yes. I want to do a ebook on kindle but lack the ability (knowledge) to edit and format my book for kindle. I want to do a compilation of my short stories all in a single book. Kind of how Louise La’ Amour started out. Maybe some day the all knowing god of formatting will visit me and grant me 3 wishes! LOL JW

Yes I got it ok….I for once have my notifications set up right. When I reblogged the post from Gary at http://swittersb.wordpress.com/ last night I did not have a clue how to do it…Wish I was able to explain a bit more about it and highlight Gary’s blog more.
I was very honored that he would do a post on HRCG…his words were very kind and encouraging. Some things I am doing right while other things I am yet learning…such as what widget if you know, lets you add your awards to your page or do you make another page of just awards to attach to the blog?
I think a kindle book would be great for you to do….as long as I can buy it for my iPad too:) And a book of short stories would be excellent…I wonder how you do this? I do have a few friends here in Oregon that are published and their budgets were dang tight….I will ask them when I see them next…don’t give up…and one thing about Word Press is that there are many artists on the site and they hopefully will find you and show you or help you:) Fingers crossed:)

Talking of widgets, I just created a page for awards. Do you sometimes feel like they’re chain letters? I know they are to help you expand your followers but I’m getting awards from people I never heard of before.
That’s the reason I put my stuff on wordpress. I was hoping someone would see my stuff and either let me know I was writing junk or maybe give me some pointers. One fella told me publishers look over the blogs to see if there is anything worth turning into a book. I must have been passed by

Thank ou for the great idea of a second page for awards…..I will think on that one tonight and play around with it. Well I am not sure on the chain letters, it is a good way to get your blog out there and also introduce the blogs you read and are fond of.
Naw I think you still have a good chance to get published and found…keep the awards up as that helps and then too be sure you are tagging the posts with your most popular tags too:) I’m pulling for you:) I have a huge book called Writers Publications, it lists where to submit and also what they are looking for plus tells you cost and also the free ones…a friend gave it to me a few years ago saying they are easy to get…I will ask her where she got them. Keep on keeping on:)

Thank you my friend! I’ll do as you say and keep on with the awards
I was reading about submitting manuscripts and such and it was saying since the ebook craze, published hard copies are becoming less and less purchased. It said most publishers are not accepting unsolicited manuscripts any more. If they are, there is only a short open time from for submitting them. They also have to be print ready so they give the format requirements out. That is why I was going to do the kindle book. Take care, enjoy the last of summer out there. I love your ranch, its beautiful!
